This PC not showing in File Explorer

Brand new PC with Windows 10 (Friend's PC).

I have the instructions to solve this issue, but it does NOT work.

This is what it says to do: To get This PC to display when you launch File Explorer, open the app and click the “View” tab on the ribbon. Click the “Options” button to open the File Explorer Options window. In the “Open File Explorer to” dropdown box at the top, select “This PC” and press the “Apply” button..

This is what I see when I go to FileExplorer--> View --> Options

None of these options allow adding "This PC" to File Explorer. If I do a search for "This PC". then I can see and use this option.

Anyone know how to do this?

    Hello mate,

It looks like you are somewhere different than Folder Options (aka: File Explorer Options). Check the tutorial below to have File Explorer open to "This PC" by default to see if it may help for now.

Open to This PC or Quick access in File Explorer in Windows 10

There's another line below Options, at... File Explorer > View > Options (right side). You need to click on that.
    Then you'll see this...

I'm not sure you'll have those items in the RED box in the right hand pic. I'm on Win 11 at the moment.

You appear to be right-clicking on the Options icon.
    Don't.
Just click on it normally [left-click].

    Best of luck,

Try3, you were absolutely correct. Once just clicked on it, I got the options I needed.

    Thanks much
