Update / edit Windows 10 emoji panel to show all available emojis

    Hi everyone

As the Windows 10 emoji font (Segoe UI Emoji, seguiemj.ttf) has not been updated to include the latest emoji version updates, I installed the latest font version I could get from Windows 11 (1.35).

However, the emoji picker does NOT show ANY of the newly added emojis and these cannot be searched for.

For example, the transgender pride flag 🏳️*⚧️ and people hugging 🫂 emojis cannot be selected in the emoji picker, despite being included in this font version.

The same issue occurs for me even if I replace the emoji font with custom projects like Twemoji. The new emojis show if I copy/paste them from elsewhere, but the Windows emoji panel does not show them.

    Windows 10 version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2486).

Currently, we are stuck with what the Windows 10 Emoji keyboard has to offer. It would be very great if developers can add more means in customizing it. At the moment, it is what it is. I encourage you to send a feedback through the hub to let the Microsoft Developers know of this and hopefully they can consider adding that to Window's future updates. Just press windows key + F to launch the Feedback Hub from your computer.

Alas, I've tried the feedback method before, adding as much detail as possible. I've yet to see feedback acknowledged or gained any traction for a suggestion 😞

I nonetheless appreciate your feedback though 💟

it's a shame you can only get the updated look of emojis by changing the font to the w11 one..i hope someone can find a solution because i am not installing w11 crap that M$hit is pushing. A lot of features were part of w10 insider, then they added their shitty interface, ads and tracking and made w11.

Try this Emoji picker web page. On Windows 11, it shows all the latest emojis, so, hopefully, it will do the same on Windows 10 with the updated fonts.

Update: They don't work on this forum though?

How did SleepyCatten use those two?

I think the forum's support for textual emoji shortcuts is a fixed list, but you can copy and paste any of them directly:

    😀 😅

I see. I noticed that link is something you created; I see your avatar picture there =P

But my question is how do you copy a single one to the clipboard? I was able to highlight a whole whole bunch at once, and try to remove all the emojis I don't want. Can you give me a quick step by step tutorial of how to copy one emoji please?

Actually, that page is not my creation. My Avatar is the GitHub Octocat. I probably should change to something unique, but it's so darn cute. Anyhow, I was on my phone and was able to drag select and copy one emoji. I'm now at the PC and actually find it harder to achieve that. I think it would make sense for the web page to provide an easier way to copy the Unicode character(s). If there isn't anything already built in, I'll ask the developer about possibly adding a feature.

lol I see. No worries. Keep the Octocat; I like it.
And I see about using the phone instead of computer. It would be nice if that creator implements a computer copy/paste feature =)
Thanks for sending him that message.
