    Recycle bin not working

    Hello,

    I have a Windows 10 Dell laptop.

For some reason my recycle bin is not working. When I go to delete a file or folder, the recycle bin option does not come up. Instead, the only option that I see, is to delete the file or folder.

    How can I fix this?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

If you are deleting the folder from a removable drive/device, then it is normal to only get the "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this folder" prompt instead of it being deleted to the Recycle Bin.

Removable drives/devices do not use the Recycle Bin.

Are the files and folders larger than the custom size set for the Recycle Bin?

If you're wanting the usual confirmation prompt, you can check the Display delete confirmation dialog box to see it.

Allocate more space to Recycle Bin and then check. I think the recycle bin does not have enough space.
