windows 10 define my Surface Book 2 (SB) as a trusted device

I need to define my Surface Book 2 (SB) as a trusted device, which is a requirement of a third-party appointment scheduling app. I run the app on my Dell Inspiron PC, which is running the latest version of Windows 10.

This Microsoft article discusses how to do that.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...8-b4fd6b767f4b. But that article focuses on adding a device to one's Microsoft account. My objective is to define my SB as a trusted device.

Mentioning a "solution" that doesn't work probably seem odd, but I'm doing that so that our discussion here doesn't get side-tracked on that article.

Apparently the version of Windows 10 that runs on an SB is not the same version that runs on a PC?

    Thanks for your help.

It would be the same way if the app that you using follows the same rules as a requirement of 2FA. You just need to do the same with the Surface as you did with the other computer.

But the "same rules..." don't work

When I search Windows Settings for "security", the result doesn't lead to options that are relevant to Trusted Device. There is an option "Privacy & security" that would seem to be helpful, but it doesn't discuss Trusted Device.
