    Hi
    Searching i received the big flashing WARNING WARNING notice sirens telling me to call a number to unfreeze my system
    LOCKED MY COMPUTER its ok now
    i know its a scam my question how did it bypass windows security?

    Timmy,

    If this was in a browser window then it's just a popup that's been added to the particular webpage you're looking at. It's not actually on your computer.

    Some browsers can automatically suppress popups yet allow them for specific websites of your choice so you could investigate this in the support pages for your particular browser.
    If it's Firefox then you could also ask Ghot in Firefox - taming the beast part 2 [Ghot] - TenForums

    I don't see any need to change from just using the built-in Defender.

    I've suggested for ages that your computer is infected and you're visiting some dodgy sites. A cure may be as simple as quitting your web client and not visiting the site you were on again. If you've installed anything suspect recently then uninstall it.
