System reserved (if i want to delete w10 and use w11)

right now, my daily driver is w10 and i install w10 2 month ago, so the reserved partition is belonging to w10.
and i want to test w11 on my laptop, its working (ref: https://i.vgy.me/mb9ump.png)

the question is.:

if i want to switch to w11 as my daily driver and want to remove w10.
i just need to remove the w10 partition and does the reserved partition is needed to delete or recreate or maybe no need to touch it?
i little confused because my reserved partition 50MB and i see on some website they have 150MB or more.

I think the best way for you if you want to switch between w11 and w10 is to buy yourself two USBs at 64GB each....

With Macrium you first take a backup of your w10 and place it on your w10-usb.
With an ISO you could hopefully install w11 and then after have a backup and put it on your w11-usb.

So then you are able to switch between w10 and w11.
Just remember to have a backup first of the present OS before you restore the other backup.........so don't be in any hurry before you do something., and you have to be a little organized of course and be careful with too much coffee.

IF i want to remove w10
should i remove the system reserved partition ?
or there is any "switch" upgrade software or tool to make it better ? since the system reserve created long time ago before i try w11.


some tutorial about w11 post that partition automatically creatted when we install w11 (just like w10)

so... what i need to do? remove that partition and re create (if it can) or just delete w10 partition (c:system) from w11 management/partition home w11 ? or ... ???

all about TPM is my risk, and the main question are about the reserved partition. if i remove w10 partition, should i need remove the reserved partition or not. (my topic using same subject.. about reserved partition)

It looks like you are already successfully dual booting Windows 10 and Windows 11. To remove Windows 10, simply use the bcdedit command to delete the Windows 10 entry from the BCD in the system reserved partition. Leave the system reserved partition itself alone. Then once you are booting directly into Windows 11, you can do whatever you want with the old Windows 10 partition.

I hope that answered your question simply, without a whole lot of extra huff and fluff.

The computer will not boot into Windows 11 directly and I can do whatever I want with the Windows 10 (D drive) partition. Leave the actual System Reserved partition itself alone - you only want to change the BCD contained on it.

NOTE: use whatever identifier is listed for the Windows 10 entry in bcdedit in the delete command.
