The Win10 live file system, on optical drives, is so broken (:

Just wanted to say guys, that win10 cannot even format a single DVD+RW rightly. I had many years to mess up with re-writable disk, and recently I had the idea to buy some of them. So the disk I bought, is already trusted-A quality product (verbatim), and yesterday I've tried to write some files on it. I used the cdburnerxp (that is discontinued as software) and said the disk is empty, fine. When I tried to format the disk to live file system, that was it, windows failed to format. And the software has already fulled the disk (I couldnt put files to burn). My false, I didnt selected the mastered format, that is so better. Whenever I wanted to burne some simple dvd-r movies, never had problem actually. So I had to format-reformat again, with the phovia of crashing the system. Happily, after some hours, I tried an last burn, and succed, cdburnerXP wrote on disk. Never again I gonna trust auto-format on file explorer. If some old folks had same problems in past with -/+rw disks, let me know :-P

I doubt it is Windows per se. that is causing the issue. It is more likely to be the dvd drive itself. I had loads of issues with my dvd player on laptop.

I bought a new one (really cheap) and problem was solved.

It could be your dvd drivers need updating.
