    It says this:
6 From the dedicated policy menu, disable the problematic policy before accessing the System Configuration too (step 2) once again and disabling Safe Boot mode.

What problematic policy do I disable?

Should be the one shown in the picture.
Itís also written in text right above the picture.

User Account Control: Run All Administrators in Admin Approval Mode

After you do that, disable Safe boot mode (step 2)

For the last 2 days I've had my computer boot up to the Recovery screen that said Windows couldn't boot. It said click Enter to reboot, then it goes to CHKDSK and boots fine. Since I had this problem and the Event Viewer problem all happen about the same time, I decided there appears to be some corruption and to revert to an image file from last month. So hopefully this won't happen again. For now it's working fine with the Event Viewer

After the revert to an earlier 1/9/23 Macrium image I ran CHKDSK at startup and got another recovery screen, I hit enter and it booted. I was able to access Disk management. So I thought I was ok. Today when it autobooted at 7:30am I got the recovery screen again, each time it successfully reboots after I hit enter. And today it won't access Disk management.. This is a strange one.

I ran MEMTEST86 USB for 16 hours with 5 errors on 12/24. So I know my RAM is flaky somewhat, I replaced all the RAM 2 years ago and now it's gotten somewhat flaky. I wonder if I should reformat the boot drive and put the 1/9 image file back in or just do a clean install of Win 10. Any suggestions?

Disk management + event viewer now show up in control panel. The fix I did makes no sense, I hope someone can shed light on this. After I reverted to an earlier macrium image 2 days ago, I at first was able to access Disk Management, but then I ran CHKDSK on boot up and could no longer access Disk Management.

So I shut down the computer, swapped sata cables for my Boot drive and my Data HD. And reseated the sata cables. I pressed down the 4 RAM sticks and one of them made a slight snap sound. Maybe it wasn't pushed in all the way. I used compressed air to clean CPU fan, back fan, and power supply. All were very dusty and dirty. I booted up did and the computer decided to do chkdsk on c drive 2x. I was surprised that Disk management + event viewer showed up in control panel

Today the BIOS auto booted at 7;30am - no recovery screen, which is the first time in 3 days for the early morning boot. Disk management + event viewer shows up in control panel. What's baffling to me is why now I can access Disk management + event viewer

How you can access them, not "can't" access them, right?

If you can access them, then that's great news!

My general rule with today's technology is that if it starts working again... then just be so happy about it! And hope it never fails again!!
I used to like to analyze things, like you. Figure out why that happened.
But me, today, once it starts working, I smile. And am so happy it's working again. =)

    No I meant "can"
What's baffling to me is why now I can access Disk management + event viewer

The thing that makes sense to me is maybe the RAM problems I've been having were caused by one of the RAM sticks not being pushed in all the way or even the SATA cable. But if these were the problem why did they manifest in me not be able to access Disk management + event viewer? That's what's baffling. I just hope things continue to work. If not I'll chime in again - thanks for yours and everyone's great help
