Getting "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file

Get the following when I boot the computer or logoff then logon.

Getting "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file-2023-02-02-13_10_43-window.jpg

I made sure the ID I login with had read access to C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps, still the same problem.
Any thoughts on how to fix this greatly appreciated.

Edit: The path in the error shows System is the owner:

Getting "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file-2023-02-02-13_37_32-window.jpg

It also shows all Users have read access:

Try to identify the app, and in settings->apps->apps&features
Click the app and for some there is "advanced options".
Try to repair first, or reset.

Have you tried all the usual Reboot, SFC and DISM options?

SFC and DISM ... no, will try now, thanks.

Edit: Nope, same problem. Looks like a repair install is the quickest fix unless soneone has another idea.

It's coming from Explorer.exe. Not much help there. I'm goi9ng to go ahead and do a repair install, that should fix it.

Can't read the full path but see:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...b-dc3eab74674f

I even took ownership of Windows Apps.
    Don't do that.

Anyway it seems to be something to do with Cortana. I can't help with that other than try resetting/ repairing Cortana or undoing any disable Cortana tweaks.

Thanks Callendar. I did a repair install and that didn't fix it so I don't think resetting/repairing Cortana will help.

Search for it in Autoruns. Maybe that will identify the startup entry.

It doesn't show up for me in Autoruns but then I have disabled Cortana so maybe try that and see if the error disappears.

Just disabled it via WinAero and rebooted. Will see what happens.

    Edit: Didn't make any difference.
