Win10 auto wakes from hibernate overnight

    Hi:

I have a computer with Win 10, version 22H2 Build 19045.2486, been having problems with sleep/hibernate. Sleep problems were in a different post, computer BSOD's within a minute of waking from sleep, still not solved.

So, I switched to using hibernate. No more BSOD's, however it wakes itself from hibernate in the middle of the night, every time. I put it into hibernate mode when I go to bed, when I wake up computer is on and in screensaver. Everything works fine, no crashing, but it's annoying. I turned off wake on LAN and wake on Bluetooth, turned off fast startup, and set power management to not reboot on error. Nothing works.

Any ideas? What log can I look at to see what the cause of this is?

Change advanced power settings and disable Allow wake timers under Sleep.
    Attachment 384451

Locate your PC's Network Adapter in Device Manager and opening the Properties window. Then, click the Power Management tab and uncheck the box for "Allow this device to wake the computer".
Also have a check for this under all others stuff in Dev.Manager...

    Hi NTN:
As I said in the original post, I have already done all of this for both Ethernet and Bluetooth. It did not fix the problem.

Have you been able to update your graphic driver to 528.24, or do you have an old driver?

It could be any number of things.

The relevant log may or may not help.
Set it up in Event viewer as a Custom view - see Import Event viewer, Custom views - Power state transitions - my post #4 - TenForums

But first I suggest you check your settings in
    Control panel,
    Security & maintenance,
    Maintenance,
    Change maintenance settings.
    - Time
    - Allow ... wake up

    No answer....

Well...Nvidia installs Audio drivers and if these drivers are enabled, the screen could wake up even if it is not suppose to...

So...you could try to disable this, you know.

Open Command Prompt, as an Administrator, and paste this:
    powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

    Press Enter.

Those are the devices that wake up your computer, at possible random times.
If you don't have anything that runs on a schedule, then you can disable all those items from waking up your computer, in the Device Manager. Post back if you need assistance...

My Drivers have the version number 31.0.15.2756 updated Dec 8 2022. Geforce Experience says this is the latest driver.

    Hi Pepanee

The only devices listed are my keyboard and mouse, both of which are powered off when this happens. Be pretty hard to wake up my computer with keyboard and mouse disabled. Note that computer is in a different secure room than the console devices, so waking it with the power switch is a giant pain. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a 55" 4k TV as a monitor.

    Thanks

Windows can wake up to run certain tasks regardless of state. Same as CMOS settings.
