    SAD news......

Iḿ leaving Windows 10 (and this nice forum) because I have decided to install ZORIN OS over it. Sorry guys, but as the end of 10 is coming, I decided early to throw the windows towel in the ring and decided to go open-source!

    Greets!

You could dual boot with Windows 11.

I would try it in a VM first to see if you like it. Will you be using the paid version?

Nothing in 11 will 'fry' an unsupported device. The kernel for Windows 11 isn't much different from that of 10.

In my experience 11 will run on almost anything, I've yet to find a machine that it won't run on - and that includes some really inappropriate hardware!

Would this work with Windows 10 22H2.
Recently decided to upgrade an old HP laptop from the days of XP.
But cannot install 22H2 from Win 10 v1709. It downloads and installs, then during the actual setting etc. BSOD comes up with stopcode: system thread exception not handled.
Tried many ways to overcome this without success. Tried getting to event manager to find the process error, but windows unwinds itself back to previous version, not giving me a chance to see the event error to try and solve the issue. Can only assume a driver is too old for 22H2. 😥

You need to upgrade to a higher version first... THEN you can upgrade to 22H2
You need to be on version 2004 or newer to upgrade to 22H2.

I have Zorin 16.2 in a Virtualbox VM and it is a good stable operating system. Once Windows 10 reaches end of life I will switch to Zorin. Good luck and you will be missed here.
