    On the developer side of things, I also hate when Microsoft does not port WinForms or WPF on other platforms, so it will be a compatibility hell if we need to support all PC/Mac platforms, and I HATE IT that we need to use third-party GUI implementations to it to just work cross-platform, and needs to learn the implementations to use it.

    @Carla Rogers

    There are certainly far more reasons why one should hate unix, mac, mobile phones, andorid etc than there are reasons to hate MS products.

    for ex. I'm still unable to figure out why every UI on unix platforms put's the cancel button on the right side and OK button on left side?

    As if it's more natural to press cancel than OK.

    Or why would X button (close) be on the left side rather than right side, for same reason as if it's natural to close the window on same side on which you navigate windows or contents of a file trough tree view.

    Close, cancel and similar actions are not "natural" actions therefore logically these should be put on the opposite side of other actions that you naturally use.

    So much about Unix and Mac BS UI design which one can start hating from the very first look and feel.

    The best software is the one you know how to use it. Did you studied the OneNote manual or do you use as an intuition?

    Give it a try

    Hate is a powerful (and destructive) emotion that especially applies to situations that have led to grief or tragedy e.g. where a company's negligence has lead to death of people (many examples of course), or to a murderer etc.

    It is rather ridiculous to apply term "Hate" to a company who provides a service just because one does not like it.

    Nobody forces people to use MS products in their personal life.

    For some Yes according to rants posted. I got my first PC in '92 just as work was changing from WU Teletypes to dumb terminals. I retired 2 years later and got offered a job in a computer store/shop, month later was building computers up to 3 a day. I've progressed through most versions since MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1 including WinNT3.5, WinNT4, WinNT 2000 in shops and Win95 and all later at home. I keep in mind that the computer is simply a tool used to accomplish tasks, have to learn how to make use of it including its foibles.

    Anyway, the "Yes" button is highlighted and thus selected by default.

    I don't know from which distro is this, but it's wrong to assume users will hit enter to choose YES.

    This user naturally presses either "Enter" or the space bar to choose "Yes".
