Folder Size And Checkmark questions, Please

    Hello,

    I have re-installed W10 on pc after a crash.
    Two questions, please:

    a. How do I make the Folder size displayed on desktop larger ?

    b. What does the checkmark on a Folder mean ?
I have never previously had it, until I re-installed Windows after the crash.

    Thanks,
    Bob

First thing to do after a reinstall is to check Devise Manager to see if you have missing drivers like the graphics driver.

For the folder size, right click on the desktop, select display settings and set to 125%

    a) "Folder size displayed on desktop larger"?
You want the picture of folders bigger?
Go to your Desktop, hold down Control on your keyboard, and scroll up, one notch at a time. This increases the physical size of the picture of the items on the Desktop

    b) Green checkmark?
That is OneDrive. You can uninstall OneDrive, and that should remove the green checkmarks.

Also... Reinstalled Windows 10? Then you can change the W7 to W10. Winky face.

One Drive Problem. Still ? (Sr. Citizen Problem)

    [SIZE=4][SIZE=5]Hello,

Thanks for the help. Nice of you folks.

    As I wrote, I had to re-install W10 after a crash.
All the Folders I now put back on my Desktop have that One Drive check mark.

Really would like to get ride of the checkmarks.
I don' want, or need, One Drive.

So, I found the One Drive Folder, and deleted the items in it (I think).

Guess what: all the desktop Folders also disappeared !

Was able to get them back, but apparently One Drive is still functional.

So, please, how do I get rid of the checkmark, but still keep all
of my Folders on he desktop (without the checkmark)

Old age problem now, so may I please ask for very specific step by step on how to do it.

    Thanks for help,
    Bob

    Bob,

That is not how you uninstall anything at all.

    Uninstall OneDrive - TenForumsTutorials

    Best of luck,
