    stop win 10 auto looking for pics and videos and copying them

    every time i plug the android tablet into the win 10 laptop...
    up pops a screen on the laptop saying something like ...
    " i will search your tablet for all its photos and videos and copy the, to the laptop."
    where do i turn OFF that feature?
    thanks all

    Have a look at your Autoplay settings.

    For a more precise answer, the exact text is needed.

    Could well be Autoplay as Bree suggests:
    stop win 10 auto looking for pics and videos and copying them-untitled.png

    Please provide a screenshot and the text from that as text so it can be easily searched for.

    I was also reminded of the Photos app gathering items for an Album for example.. but I don't think that copies files.

    If you need more, it would also help to know which process is responsible for the popup you see.
    You can determine that by using e.g.
    Winspy++
    WinSpy - Catch22
