    Removing timetable from File Explorer - Downloads


    In the older versions of Windows, the File explorer 'Downloads' and its folders listed the downloaded files as you wished with 'details' or 'icons' or 'list' etc.

    Now although we have same choice in 'view' today. But how can I remove the grouping 'today' or 'last week' or 'last month' or 'earlier this year'. To just show the list of files or folders without showing today, last week, last month etc.

    View tab, Group by (none), Options, Change folder and search options, View tab, Apply to Folders, Yes, OK.

    Note that the above procedure will NOT clear out the date grouping in file open/save dialogs, if you previously accessed Downloads via an application's Open/Save dialog.

    To get rid of grouping completely in ALL views, use WinSetView to set your preferred view defaults.
