    In-place Upgrade wrong version

Hi. I did a in-place upgrade just now, and then when i did Windows update it installed some and some told me to restart to apply. When i was about to restart, it said that there was a error and the error code was access denied code. but i clicked restart again and it did not complain, it restarted and i did a update search again and it found nothing more, but now i see my older posts just before in-place upgrade, my version was
    Windows 10 Pro X64 OS Build 19045.2251

    Now its
    Windows 10 Pro X64 OS Build 19044.2311

    so why is that?

Do you mean an in-place upgrade, or an in-place upgrade repair install?
What you aim to do with each is different, although the method- if using an iso file or potentially a bootable disk is the same.
In the latter you aim to keep the same major build. In the former, to increase the major build number.

What was the build of your iso file?

If you used a 19044 iso file (or possibly boot disk if you logged in and browsed to that and then ran setup.exe) that could explain it.

19044->19045 is a minor enablement package.

    maybe have a look here....

Windows 10 version 22H2 feature update now ready for broad deployment

and here, i believe KB5015684 is the update needed to progress 22H2, enablement package.

You seemed to have run the Repair install [aka In-place upgrade] procedure using a Version 22H1 ISO.

You can update to 22H2 again using KB5015684 EP, which is described in KB5015684 Provides Quick Windows 10 22H2 Upgrade - Ed Tittel
This is the direct download link for KB5015684 x64 EP - MSUpdateCatalog
I used this on three computers a week or so ago and had no problems at all.

That access denied message you saw is rather concerning.

    All the best,
    Denis

Yes, i used the iso to do "Keep my files" upgrade, or repair. That iso is 1-2 months old or something. I could not go on the internet thats why i used this already downloaded iso from the official microsoft site. I updated with that file you sent link to and now its good. Why did windows update find it and ask me if i want to update? Why did i need your link to install it, why wouldnt windows update find it for me?

Microsoft hasn't rolled it out to everyone yet. They are rolling it out in phases.

I still haven't gotten 22H2 offered to me.
I just do things like that manually.
