Windows 10, screen black after entering Bitlocker password

Hello,
I run windows 10 on a 2 year old Lenovo Thinkpad and regularly encounter the problem that after entering the Bitlocker password the screen immediately goes black and the system wont take me to the usual login page. This does not always happen, but quite frequently.

Then I always have to press the power button for ~20 seconds and restart the whole computer during which I always loose data/ open files etc.

I hope somebody has the solution

Hello Tom,

As a test, turn off Fast Startup below and restart to see if it stops. Fast Startup can sometimes cause a blank screen like that until you restart again.

I tried Brink's idea but unfort. it did not help.
Any other idea by chance?
