Proper Way to Shut Down Dell XPS 15 9520 And Remove Cables?

Have a dell xps 15 9520 and windows 11 pro. I use 1 of the 2 thunderbolt 4 ports for the dell charger. The other thunderbolt 4 port I use a usb-c to displayport cable for a 32' 4k monitor. The usb-c port... I connect the Dell 20A 2 in 1 adapter that it came with... this adapter has an hdmi port and usb-a port. The hdmi port I connect an hdmi to dvi cable for a 24' monitor. The usb-a port I connect a sabrent 4 port hub usb to it to give it more usb a ports. I only use 2 of the 4 usb-a ports and that is for the wireless mouse dongle and wired keyboard. My laptop charger, 2 monitors and modem is connected to a UPS.

When I shut down my laptop, I press shut down. Then I power off both of my monitors. Then I close the lid to my laptop. Now after this is done... the sabrent 4 port hub still has blue lights showing. I was surprised by this as my laptop is turned off, yet the blue lights on the sabrent port hub still lights up. I then unplug my laptop charger. Is it fine to do this? That is what I done. After I do this, then the lights on the sabrent port hub powers off. I then disconnect the usb-c to displayport cable from the thunderbolt 4 port on my laptop. I then remove the Dell20A 2 in 1 Adapter that is connected to the usb-c port on my laptop. So after all this is done, nothing is connected to my laptop.

I also sometimes would unplug my laptop charger from the UPS and sometimes also unplug my 2 monitors from the UPS as well that way the laptop charger and 2 monitors would not be connected at all overnight. The reason I do this is because in case of thunder or surge so I don't want anything connected to my laptop.

    My questions are

    1. Is this the proper way to shut down my laptop? To turn on laptop, I just open the lid and it turns on.

    2. Is this the correct steps to unplug the cables from my laptop every night? Should I be unplugging the sabrent port hub from the dell 2 in 1 adapter first? Or there is no issue just unplugging the dell 2 in 1 adapter while the hdmi cable and sabrent 4 port usb hub is into it? The confusing thing here is how when the laptop is still plugged in after I shut down the laptop, the sabrent port hub still shows blue lights. So it doesn't seem to make sense to remove the dell 2 in 1 adapter first or the sabrent 4 port hub first and then the hdmi cable and finally the dell 2 in 1 adapter and then the other usb-c to displayport cable before finally unplugging the charger?

Even tho you have the system powered down and the lid closed you'll always have power to the port. This is not an issue and is completely normal.

This is completely up to you if it makes you sleep better and gives you peace of mind but it is not necessary as the UPS is designed to protect the system from such things. By the way what model is the UPS.
