Turn On or Off Search online and include web results in Windows 10

It also helps to disable Cortana, if you don't use it...

None of the solutions to remove this Trending Searches work for me. I have Is this because do not have a Microsoft account?

I have disable the Show Cortana Button in Taskbar if enabled it asks to sign in. I would really like to get rid of the trending searches.

To remove Trending searches (i.e. disable all web content in the Windows search results), add the BingSearchEnabled=0 setting as per this tutorial. The tutorial says it's for Windows 11 Dev channel, but it's now applicable to current versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I had the same as you with all the #tag buttons and out of curiosity I tried both @Ghot and @LesFerch tut's and both ended up with the same result that looks better than before:

I could probably clean up the left column with a few more settings but that's for a later day.

p.s. . . . Thx for markin' your thread solved!
