The UN is no more a China shill than it is a US one. It does a lot of good work around the world but its charter needs to be changed to get rid of veto power.

I think the region is determined by the IP address, and not the language.

When installing windows, i'm asked to choose a language, i'll go with english.
However, there is two english versions, english and english international.
Seemingly english is for people that come from the US while english international is for the rest of the world (UK mainly).

I am anyways not asking about the differences between the two, all i want to know is which of them is more popular.
I'f been trying to find an anser to this question on statista and our world in data, sadly both sides don't have that information, or i simply didn't find it.
Someone knows which english version is the most used one? Source?
Although I would naturally say use English International if not from US, a more practical answer is choose one compatible with your keyboard. They are slightly different.

If using a non-english keyboard, choose layout closest to your keyboard.

Dunno if this was mentioned earlier, and I'm not gonna read through all the posts.

    So here's my post:
Try any one of the two English languages.. then a few days later, change it to the other English language:

And see which one you prefer?

I would imagine English International as only the US & its Territories use English (US).
Here in Canada we speak & spell UK English, however our keyboards are English (US).
Actually the English language is the most widely spoken language on the globe.

It depends on your definition. If you say 1st language, more people speak Chinese or Spanish, and possibly some Indian language.

English is probably most widely spoken 2nd language.

English is number 1, Chinese number 2, Hindi number 3. In native speakers, Chinese and Hindi pass English since you have a larger populace than those countries that are native English.

I think the original poster is asking about which "variant" of English is more popular though...

English is probably taught as a second language more than any other worldwide. I used to work in a small firm where there were 4 Indians and they were from Ramanathapuram, Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi. They could only converse in English, that is why the official language is English.
