    I think the question is:

a link is received in an sms message.

how to transfer that to pc.

    without installing any apps

This actually includes installing an app on the phone and on the computer. The idea of it is pretty simple and useful. Others may be interested of knowing about this.

So I found a video on YouTube:
How to copy Text from your Android Phone to PC - YouTube

You install that app on your phone (includes iPhone) and install, in this case, the extension in Google Chrome. I am sure that there are way many more alternatives if you browse on your own, and for other browsers as well.

But still, as I stated in my first post:
while on my phone, I would copy text to the clipboard, open my email account, paste the text in there, and email it to myself. Then I would open my email account on the computer and get the text from there.

you are asuming email is set up the phone. Plenty of people use phone only for calls and text messages and maybe rarely taking a picture of cat or grandchild. Nothing else.

My post applies to people who use email on their phone. Honestly, it’s a complete life-inconvenience to the people who don’t log in to their email account on the phone. To whoever is reading this, and still don’t log into their email account on their phone, then I highly suggest you set up your phone to be able to log into your email account. It will make life tasks so much easier. I highly recommend it.

An example, you copy the link in the android notes app, all have one, you create a note in fact and you copy the link in it.
Then you select the note and you will have an option to share it or to create a file of this note, the options will be, to share it or create the file, pdf, text, microsoft word... And to share it with the computer you choose for example Bluetooth or wifi direct or google drive...
Or you connect your smartphone with a usb cable to the computer, and if above you chose to create a text file, android normally asked you to paste it in a folder or whatever, you find where you put it and copy/paste it into windows.

My answer would work no matter how the link is received as a user would click on the link to open Edge then choose send to, or copy the link then open Edge, paste the link, open the page then choose send to.

By default, the edge browser is not installed on most android phones, while there is a notes application installed on phones by default. The op does not want to install an application for this task.

Thanks. It depends on how important the ability to send webpages to another device is to the op as to whether they would install Edge or not.

Another way to share links in a text file and since apparently most android phones are unable to create a blank text file, you create a text file on the computer and send it to a folder on the android phone. You never delete this file and you paste the links into it and copy/paste the file to the computer.

Edit: impossible to edit (without installing a third party application) a text file from android. To forget what I just said.
