Window 10 21H1 end of service

    Hello,
As I read on this forum, Win 10 ver 21H1 end of service December 2022.
Now my computer is not good for windows 11 - This was checked.
Can I use the enablement package KB5015684 to upgrade to 22H2 ?
I have also KB5003791 Enablement Package to upgrade to 21H2 (from 20H2 ?).

So I am a little confused.
Can you help me with some ideas what to do, please.
(All except buying a new computer which is now out of question)
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

If you are patient, you should be offered 22H2 via WUpdate. I haven't, yet.

Is there a reason you've not updated to 21H2? (My build is 19044.2030)

And yes, the News section here has offered the means to upgrade to 22H2 for quite a long time and this has been repeatedly discussed. E.g.

How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2
How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update

The 2022 Update is available to users with devices running Windows 10, version 20H2 or later who are interested in the latest features and are ready to install this release on their device. If you would like to install the new release, open your Windows Update settings (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select  Check for updates.
Here is how you can upgrade to Windows 10 22H2 right now - Neowin
All it takes to upgrade from Windows 10 21H2 to 22H2 is KB5015684
If I recall, you choose not to use Windows Update but attempt to do this manually. Hence, perhaps, your confusion.

Try WUMT (Windows Update Minitool) or WUmgr. Free.

From version 2004 on all versions share a common set of system files and the feature update is done by enablement package. As long as your 21H1 is fully up to date with the latest CU then your Windows should should be able to go straight to 22H2 with the enablement package. It will already have the features but in a dormant state. You could equally well go to 21H2 if you prefer, that would be an easy option for you as you say you already have that enablement package.

Each version of Windows 10 gets 18 months of support from its release date, so 21H2 would take you into 2023, or 22H2 into 2024. The (not yet released) final version of Windows 10 will reach end of service on 14th December 2025.

Your PC is not a supported device, that's not the same as saying it's no good for Windows 11. If you are prepared to risk running 11 on an unsupported device then it can be done.

Almost any PC that can run 64-bit Windows 10 can run windows 11. What you can't do easily on an unsupported device is upgrade Windows 10 to 11 or clean install Windows 11. However there are known workarounds to bypass the system checks during install/upgrade. Once installed W11 makes no further checks, it runs well and will get cumulative updates through Windows Update as normal.

    @Motim

You can also go to Windows 11 if you want. Many people have done it on hardware much older than yours...
