Why is win+d key so buggy?

It is interfering with a lot of stuff and programs! Currently it is hiding/unhiding my desktop gadgets on Windows 10, yes you can actually add that to windows 10! Is there other alternative using you can alt+tab to desktop, to avoid pressing win+d. I found solution a script: if you alt+tab on that: it will jump to desktop. Problem is I have too many windows!

EDIT: I hate windows win+d, when I go from desktop back to last opened window: it is like it double flashes, I can see window maximizes and then icons briefly, and black color before it maximizes and it is annoying me!

You reference Win + D in the title, but CTRL + D in the text of your post, so I'm not entirely sure which one you want to address. It sounds like you are talking about Win + D. Win + D is supposed to hide everything and show your desktop. Press it again to restore the view to your apps.

From what you are describing, it sounds like it is actually working as it should.

You also reference using ALT + TAB. You may want to experiment with WIN + TAB as an alternative. Personally, I like the way this works better.

Finally, you note that you have too many Windows. Have you considered making use of Virtual Desktops in Windows to help organize your Windows? During my normal workflow, I too often a LOT of Windows open at once. I make use of Virtual Desktops to organize things in groups on different desktops so that no one single desktop becomes too cluttered.

    I hope that this helps!

If I've misunderstood from your original post, please feel free to clarify for me.

Problem is it is bugging applications, I use it to get to the desktop, since it can't be done with alt+tab which isn't good option for that anyways!

Virtual Desktops are not suitable for me!

Don't know if you'd prefer a taskbar shortcut to get to the desktop but I've used one for years. See here:

I don't know how to run shortcut in Autohokey, as it has not path! Or how to use that target in Autohotkey, because it has argument after path...

EDIT: Problem with this is that it only shows desktop, it can't alt+tab you to previous window also from a desktop!

Could you explain what you mean by "bugging applications"? I never ever once had Win + D cause any problems with applications.

I think it's meant that all apps/ windows/ gadgets are hidden when Winkey+D is selected.

    I tried:
    Download Show Desktop 1.211

    Feature:
You can create a blacklist of applications, which excludes them from being affected by the "Peek" and "Minimize Windows' functions.

But it seems buggy on Windows 10. In addition you still need to mouse click to activate and that isn't what the OP is looking for.
