How to get into Bios

Today's SSDs boot so fast, sometimes it's better to just gently spam the Boot Menu or the BIOS key as sson as the computers fans start up. Here's a list. Motherboards are down around the middle of the list.

Perhaps you've done a Bios update and the new Bios does not provide the "notice" you refer to.
What did the "notice" look like?

Perhaps you have enabled fast boot in Power options, Choose what the power buttons do.
Fast start has the effect of skipping through the maker's logo screen [during which your Bios "notice" probably appears] when you start up from shutdown [but it should still appear when doing a re-start].

Generally-speaking, you enter Bios by starting to repeatedly tap [not single press & hold down] the relevant Bios key for your computer make as soon as the maker's logo screen appears.
If your computer manual does not tell you which key to press then your maker's support site should. Your maker's user forum might well also discuss the matter. And Ghot has posted a list of keys above.

Modern computers can also restart into a special menu, with entering Bios listed as an option, using this command

I have that saved as the target of an elevated shortcut to make it convenient to use.

I keep using the term Bios like everybody else does. Modern computers have UEFI instead but most references continue to say Bios.
- UEFI can be regarded as a straightforward replacement for a Bios. But Uefi is actually much more sophisticated than that description suggests.

You can get to it simpler if you restart windows as that gives you time

Make and model of the motherboard would help. "Sometimes" just holding down the any key will get you a keyboard error and an option to enter the BIOS. Try holding down the Del key or Esc key? Some BIOS have a "Fast Boot" option, that can make it harder to get into it when the need arises. It speeds up the boot process, but at a price.
Another option is to reset the BIOS to defaults via a jumper on the motherboard. " !! Done with the power off !! " More often than not that will get you in. Downside is you have to redo any custom setup you had done in the past.

It would be most helpful if you would fill out your computer specs in your user Profile on the forum so we can access it and be able to diagnose your problem faster. Right now your Computer specs profile says Windows 7 only.
