Help with weird problem related to 8.3 filename and filrsystem convert

so I used Aomei NTFS to FAT32 Converter to convert without losing files
After completion I got problem with file names

For example this is what is look like a lot of the files not all

    Png became pn0 pn1 ….
    And the name cut off
    Happens to other types

The non English names became weird and non readable

when try to rename any file from (EXAMP.PN0 ---> EXAMP.PNg) windows recognize the previous name and asks me to add number because there is already file with this name already even though it is not shown as it is

and after search and ask I found that the names are converted to what called 8.3 filename

my question is it reversible ?

when I try manually change the extension I got windows prompt "are you sure you want to change .... " I got the original file name so it must stored somehow I don't know

Actually, FAT32 supports long filenames just fine.

Agreed, the only real issue with FAT32 is partition or drive size limit of 32GB and 4GB single-file maximum size.

It is easy to convert FAT32 to NTFS with a simple command prompt command. But you cannot convert NTFS to FAT32 in Windows. Minitool should be able to covert the file system on the drive, but, as stated, any files larger then 4GB will be corrupted. If the file plays, but it's name has changed, you can easily right click and Rename it. If its mostly .png files, Photoshop has a Batch Rename feature.

I have ~47000 files (not all affected ) all less than 4 gb mostly ai (illustrator) and png files if i want to rename all manually it would be hard and time consuming
here is what it look like form one of the folders

If'n I needed to do bulk rename I'd use one of the free file managers available such as FreeCommander, actually purchased Total Commander some years ago, can manipulate several things.

    Okay..

So I would use Recuva to try the best to recover the names of each file, so you can manually copy/paste the names of each filename, and Better File Rename to replace all PN2 to png, PN3 to png, etc...
