    Make Taskbar Icon Blink/Flash


    Hello. I am trying to use the Google Chat Desktop App on my Windows 10 Pro PC, and I am curious about the notifications. We would like our icon to "blink/flash" when a new message is sent, similar to old school messenger apps like AIM. I can see that I can set it up to send notifications, but it does not make the icon "blink/flash" on the taskbar. Is there some setting I can set in the app/registry/windows settings to make it flash when a new message comes in?

    I have tried to research this on a basic google search, and it seems like no one has a complaint about this. While I do know that people tend to steer away from the blinking notifications, our office likes to see it since we may be away from our desks for long periods of time, and it is helpful as an alert to see the flashing orange notification.

    That feature would need to be added by Google since it is their app. You can Enable a sound to be played when a chat comes in.
