I also noticed that the tearing that used to annoy me in 7 when I used the GDI-drawn themes (high contrast, basic, or classic) seemed to be back... but I didn't investigate it fully. Is it possible that the HC themes in 10 do not use the desktop compositor? I sure don't want to have all that tearing back...

If I am wrong then I am pleasantly surprised. Still annoyed that there is no "out of the box" way to change the color from white without using one of the default ugly HC themes, but I can deal with that.

There will be more ways for sure. Standard user of W10 are stuck for now with v10240 but insider versions are already at 10525 and newest v10532 which have some of those problems solved to a degree. When those and some even newer ones get tested by insiders and get ready for release they'll get to everybody else.

In this case it was an Evil(not really recommended) UXStyles theme from Deviant Art and using personalization settings in Windows. But the forum members have created some nice high contrast themes in Windows 10 Themes created by Ten Forums members to download.

My computer is not even a year old till christmas so now that I upgraded I plan to stay this way. Its really working great so far.

As for W10 so far so good I still wish we could remove programs that we don't need I won't name the ones but I'm sure there are some of us here that don't use everything, yes of course I'm finding ways to rip apart shrink/remove unneeded clutter

The issue with Ccleaner loading slowly is a known issue at Piriform. It's been like that the last few versions(no matter what settings you use).

To remove pre-installed apps see here: Apps - Uninstall in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Note: some apps cannot be uninstalled because they are hooked into the system too deep and are more than just user interfaces.

If you have it set to run at startup and have monitoring on, it will open faster(the time to open is then pushed to startup time and it will already be running in the background),.

Hello Cliff S and thank you for the tips, I have uninstalled a few apps already, as for the built/hooked in apps that's the annoying part, maybe in the near future we might have an option to do so.

Well that done the trick nicely thanks, it only uses 3.8MB-0.3MB of RAM 0% CPU so I think it's worth keeping on.
