I am staying with it, I have no choice as I lost my image of Win 7, but I like Ten.

@Gary , using your Windows 7 license you can download another ISO. I used it to keep a current Win 7 image

    Software Download

Just why is it so important to have a clean install? Seems just installing Win10 over Win7&8.1 has worked really well for many including myself.
I da no! ...But...was their installs actually 'over' lapped onto 7,8.1? ......I'm a bit confused with your question. last fall I upgraded from XP with a (new pc) after 6 years..(8.1)..All was well thereafter, but I missed the old os XP for a lot of reasons after experiencing this new 8.1... Recently, I took advantage of the 'free' 10...I thought maybe it could be a better experience than 8.1 and closer to the XP I loved.....(XP offered to me, better hands on mechanical than 8.1) but I was wrong! ......I'm now on OS10 and realize this cant change. I could go Linux Apple etc....

Once you 'cross-over' from 7-8.1.....you cant go back...I am reading. BUT......if you do a system recovery on your 8.1 pc......does it return to 8.1? ....I'm not going to test it. 8.1 to 10 hasn't been a reason for me...so I'll like it and shut up!

I just tried to download using a Windows 7 product key that was used to upgrade to 10 and the site gave me an error, saying the key was in use. Make sure you enter a key that is not encumbered.

I tried another key, also used to upgrade to 10 and it gave me error messages twice but on the third try the request was accepted. So keep trying folks.

Me, if I did not loose my Macrium Image of Win 7 , I could have gone back . But I like the performance in 10.

I had the benefit of the Insider program to get accustomed to its ways well ahead of release and I predict it will grow on you nicely. Enjoy!

Already have a desktop and laptop on Win10 so I'm staying. My desktop is going to wait a bit because I have to find some driver solutions for music production related devices that are attached. It will eventually go Win10 as well using my free upgrade from Win7 but might be a few months.
