Loving it so far. Things were a bit buggy after the upgrade on an Acer bloated Win 8.1 laptop. Did a clean install and she's running silky smooth. Might be silly but I find it all aesthetically pleasing as well.
Yup, just enough to keep the mike on, for when the user say's Hey Cortana(which probably uses speech recognition and not Cortana directly, which would also mean. until we say those two words, everything stays on our computer or is not even recorded) then she connects to the server, where her brain is.
Kept W10 on my Tower I upgraded from W7. ( Used for AV editing mostly, and a little gaming )
Kept W10 on a PC I use in my kitchen. Upgraded from W8.1 ( Mainly used for surfing, music listening, basic stuff )
Keeping W8.1 on my two media PC's due to MS yanking WMC out of 10
Rolled back to 8.1 from 10 on my Dell Venue 8 because I like the tablet side of 8.1 better than 10
Still on the fence about rolling back to W8.1 on my Surface Pro 3.
A lot of info is subject to an NDA. Non Disclosure Agreement. I had to sign one as part of being an MVP. That being said, I'm not privy to any of that info so I couldn't comment on it even if I wanted to. I dare say there are quit a few people that have no intension of spoiling a good thing by violating their NDA and pissing Microsoft off.
It is what it is, and Microsoft isn't the only company that does it. Just thought I'd mention it for those that may not know it happens. Some of the secrecy is because your not allowed to say anything. I've seen bits and bytes on Yammer that answered some questions but I couldn't talk about it until somebody else leaked it first.
