Windows 10 22H2 Is Windows 11? Look and you see.

I was watching a video on Youtube on Windows 10 22H2 ISO Image download for clean install available Well this felts standard so I downloaded the ISO from my Windows Insider. Loaded it into my VM and created a standard profile and ran the install, First here's a pic of the ISO file from Windows Insider and the install to my VM. Comments? Explorations?

Denis, did you watch the video? It starts out like a Windows 10 install, but then says, that Windows 11 can't be installed on this computer.

No, I didn't. I was trying to understand the post first.

Ghot's thread 22H2 Enablement Package - TenForums contains no equivalent to "Windows 10 22H2 Is Windows 11". Ghot's WinVer dialog shows that 22H2 is Windows 10.

I downloaded the Win 10 22H2 ISO directly from the insider program and installed it in my VM and instead of Win 10 I get Win 11 installed as per my video. I couldn't press the Next button, it was grayed out. The windows version I tried to install was 19045-1826

If you're interested in experimenting further with it, you might try one of the Windows11 requirements bypasses such as
Upgrading with the Windows 11 RTM ISO on a well-below spec computer [my post #266] - ElevenForum

Other bypass methods are discussed in the same thread. My link describes the method I used.

Ghot's experience makes me think that you will end up with Windows 10 Version 22H2 and that the error message you saw indicated that a shortcut had been taken somewhere in compiling the Insider programme ISO.

O I plan on experimenting with this ISO this weekend. I want to see what's behind door #2. Thanks for the info, Denis.

hi Denis

same here on my on my second 10 machine, the "crappy lappy" shows windows 10 also.



PS after RAM upgrade this lappy is not so crappy...
