( Productivity ) Go to folder location/ Containing folder

I'd like the option described here, in a Right click, for anything anywhere. For productivity.

Hoping someone knows of a small lightweight software,
or something I can work into a right click, or just a very fast way to do this. This option is not always present, and behind a few layers of windows to get to, like in Properties.

Sometimes I use this to, stop a process running, or just to see if I can figure what is causes a process.
Often I delete the exe's for one reason or the other that causes it. But need a fast way to get to the folders.

Example: Sometimes you can right click for a open " Containing folder" of process, like in Task Manager.
If you right click a shortcut, it will show " Open File Location."
And some software, like Revo Uninstaller, has a "hunter mode". That lets you target any software window, with this option of opening a folder location. But revo has limitations, and dont want to run it every time.

    Thanks for any ideas .

Not sure what you're asking for...

It's hard to get vaguer than that...

That's what Task Manager is for...

But only File system objects have a containing folder/locaition...

Can you clarify or give concrete examples???

Sorry cannot make it plainer. Just as described, open containing folder/Open File Location.
The example would be, Revo Uninstallers, Hunter Mode. There are probably some videos of how hunter mode works.
Just want to remove a few steps for this because its repetitive. Thats why don't even want to use Task Manager.

Rather like to replace it with a right click context option to open source. Not just from desktop, but any folder, and on any process or UI window. It would be good, if Hunter Mode, was a stand alone software.

It may be plain to you, but we have no idea what you are talking about.
Hunter Mode in Revo, gives you a Bullseye icon that you drag to a .exe file in a folder or file to uninstall it. Right click doesn't come into play with this example.
When you right click a folder or file, you are given a Context Menu, do you want to add an app shortcut to the Context Menu? Is this what you are talking about?

I'm aware of this already. I use Process Hacker. It works well. And Use a lot of Sysinternals Utilities. And some other stuff from lessor known companies just for a little more insight into stuff.

But that's the problem, a lot of opening and closing software, and reading long lists, and trying to identify something. Need some way to streamline.

I don't really know. A window of a software. I think maybe Process Hacker is my only option right now. Until I figure a faster way.

Here is a pic of what hunter mode does, it shows the containing folder, just clicking on say Chrome window.
Can also kill delete, even auto start items, if they appear on screen. And even search online. Just with clicking on the window with hunter mode. Problem is Hunter mode needs to start with Revo. Would be nice if that was in context.

I do have revo uninstaller in context desktop menu. But context menu wont open in folders or over other windows.
And Revo always has to be run with it.

OK, I think I get it: you would like a rt-click on a window to offer the option to see the owning process and executable location ?
I don't know of anything that does that, but by googling, found that Process Explorer (by Sysinternals) has an icon that one can drop on a window to reveal the info:
    ( Productivity ) Go to folder location/ Containing folder-pe-find-program.png
But, of course, PE has to be running and in the foreground, to reach the icon. How often do you need to do this, that you feel the need to streamline the process?

The underlying problem here is that Otherway is seeking a general solution for all contexts.

And that's exactly the difficulty. Each context can be different.
The means of extracting the path - if available- is specific to the context.
Which is why a context menu is so called...

Okay thanks everyone for the suggestions. Going to conclude for now, no one all solution for this.
