    What Else Can Go Wrong

This is just letting off a little steam.

I spent two days (and 4-5 tech reps) with Microsoft Chat trying to fix the issue that File Explorer would not open full screen. One rep even supposedly reinstalled Windows 10.

Eventually, they got File Explorer to open full screen and I thought everything would be OK. Wrong again. Now Setting will NOT open full screen so I can NOT check for Windows Updates or scan for viruses and a lot of other things that Settings allows.

For the next couple days I guess I will live with it and then get into Chat again with Microsoft and see what happens.

Take care and have a great day.

Been similar here although in our case it’s with appliances- First the fridge freezer broke, then the washer/dryer, then the vacuum cleaner & now my Hi Fi. It’s been a rather expensive few months.

    Hello mate,

    That is an odd bug.

If you haven't already, you might see if resetting the Settings app below may help any.

Worse - I got my credit card stolen. Bank phoned me to tell me bad news, but on the bright side the thief is spending less than "er indoors".

I can't tell you what's going to break, but I can tell you how much it will cost to fix it. $100 more than what I have in my savings.

To the OP, it's never fun when Windows decides to have a brain fade.

File Explorer would not open full screen.
mine if i click the maximize button Attachment 372211 and close it after ,next time i open it it would still be maximized. Same with settings .
not sure i understand the problem or am i missing something?

Setting will NOT open full screen so I can NOT check for Windows Updates or scan for viruses and a lot of other things that Settings allows.

3nd, I can only suggest chatting with Microsoft. They have helped me in several cases where things went wrong. It is a free service.

Oh damn, I found one more thing that does NOT work. PC will NOT run "scf /scannow".

3nd, Setting is open on the Task bar, but does not open full screen. I hope that clears up the confusion.
