No icons for desktop in explorer

    Two of the shortcuts are in your Desktop folder. You'll find the rest in shell:common Desktop (C:\Users\Default\Desktop)

    Thanks for the replies,,, I get the file locations, But i was not getting all the shortcuts,,.. All added the same way, same day and some don't show.

    I re installed due to other issues and it is much better now. Still hate the colores but that is for a new thread/

    Colours can be changed fairly painlessly and non-invasively one way or another.. example:
    No icons for desktop in explorer-untitled.png

    Possibly useful:
    StarDock Curtains, Icon Packager
    Qttabbar (free) - colours for explorer- related backgrounds
    Aerolite theme (tutorial)
    Winaero Tweaker (e.g. border width)
    WinPaletter: customize Windows theme colors to your liking
    etc
