    File Explorer not Refreshing


    Hello,Windows file explorer not refreshing auto made me lot of pain in the neck.From time to time I was searching for some cure.Today, found an answer, I think, the link is attached down here.Made the modification in the registry - so far it works.So I write this post to share it with you.Motim

    This has been a problem since over five years now. Microsoft have obviously not a clue how to fix this permanently!
    I've have had this problem now and then since the first install of W10. That is seven years now.

    At the moment Explorer works as it should...

    Motim,

    Windows has been known to have refresh problems for more than twenty years. MS couldn't give a monkey's about it.
    - The problems can come & go.
    - A couple of years ago, I was getting refresh problems every day.
    - Often, weeks can go by without any Refresh problems.
    - At this moment, I have not had any Refresh problems for at least a minute.***
    - When refresh problems occur, it is generally just the Desktop that is affected. If the Desktop folder is viewed in File explorer then refresh problems are rarely seen.

    I once wasted a month of my life trying out lots of suggested remedies but to no avail.
    - Many did not work at all.
    - Some worked for up to, say, a week.
    - None worked for more than a couple of weeks.
    So I suggest that you do not expend a lot of effort on this issue.


    I reboot my computers every day and that seems to reduce the frequency of refresh problems on the desktop. But it might just be chance. Having a pot of tea might be just as effective.

    Refresh problem is back.
