Text appearance on new monitors is bugging me!

    Hello

I recently treated myself to 2 x 27” Samsung T3F monitors for my office. Buy 22-27" LED Monitor FHD | LF27T350FHRXXU | Samsung UK

    A major upgrade on the 2 x 21.5” Asus screens I had before…. Or so I thought!

The size is great. The appearance of text and numbers is not. I use spreadsheets all day long and the numbers are fuzzy.

I have tweaked every Display, Accessibility and Monitor setting possible. I have installed the Intel Graphics control panel thing, and the Samsung one. Nothing has helped.

I recently replaced and upgraded the RAM in the machine myself, so I’m feeling pretty confident about improvements. But I’m not sure what to change. Maybe changing the connection / cables might help? A new graphics card?

Or do I need a new pc? 🤷🏻*♀️

    I have a Lenovo M710q. It has:
    - Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630
    - 1 x HDMI 1.4 out connector
    - 2 x DisplayPort 1.2 out connectors
    - USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectors
    - USB 3.1 Gen 2 connectors

The screens are currently connected by cables which have HDMI ends into the screens, DisplayPort into the pc.

All advice / suggestions most welcomed.

    Thank you in advance 😀

I think you should be able to get something you like with it.

    Disable ClearType before installation.

Right click the Desktop and choose Display Settings, scroll down to Scaling and try increasing the Scaling to 125% Then try setting the Resolution and Refresh Rate to the Recommended Settings. Play around with these settings till you fine a setting that works for you.
Also go to the Lenovo site and download the Intel Graphics driver for your model desktops and all in ones :: thinkcentre m series desktops :: thinkcentre m710q - Lenovo Support US
If you still have issued consider purchasing a Video Card (GPU)

    @kate1978 -

    Hi.

Could you please post a screenshot of some lines of this "fuzzy text"?
What is the native resolution for the Samsung monitors and at what Refresh Rate?

How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums

Any way that you could go straight HDMI from the computer to one monitor for testing?
