    1. Using this
    https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/ro...esk_qvl_memory
    configuring the search for GSkill
check your ram against the spec shown on the QVL list and the slots covered

The reason I ask is that those boards are especially selective regarding ram - chip layout etc.

Post the exact spec of your GSkill ram detailed on the QVL list.

    2. Please confirm the number of actual physical drives on this computer - it surely cannot be the 18 it appears to be from your post

It is - although not absolutely necessary - always best on these modern boards to go with ram on the QVL list
Obviously Asus or any other manufacturer cannot test all ram in all configurations - the ram you have was not found to work without problems when using four sticks - all slots populated
    G.SKILL F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR 4x 16GB 3600 3600 DS - 17-19-19-39 1.35 1,2
    G.SKILL F4-3466C16Q-64GTZ 4x 16GB 3466 3466 DS Samsung 16-18-18-38 1.35 1,2
    G.SKILL F4-3400C16Q-64GTZ 4x 16GB 3400 3400 DS Samsung 16-16-16-36 1.35 1,2,4
    G.SKILL F4-2800C14Q-64GVK 4x 16GB 2800 2800 DS Samsung 14-14-14-35 1.35 1,2

as you can see from the above
I appreciate it lists 4 sticks but the important detail is the slots.
The reason of course it lists 4 is because the ram is a KIT of 4 sticks

You can see the ram listed for 1,2, 4 and it is NOT your ram.

I suggest as a start the simple test of seeing if it shuts down with two sticks that you take out two leaving two one in A2 and one in B2

I have very strong doubts that your power supply can handle 18 drives.
Given that there has to be at least 3 SATA boards to connect to them, a shortage of power could be the issue. I cannot come up with any valid reason for that many drives unless you are running a server farm. Consider moving half or more of them to an external, independently powered cabinet(s) and connect via network. For saved-game storage, network speed is not a problem.

Possibility #2: Overclocking, especially RAM timing, voltage or temperature issues.
Sometimes just a tiny bit too hot RAM or CPU or GPU may cause it to fail. In addition to the power supply, my computer has 2 140mm fans + 2 200mm fans all blowing into the case. Only the 3 fans attached to the liquid cooler radiator suck the air from the case and out the top. In other words, keeping things cool, not just the CPU, could be a problem.

I'm only a mild overclocker in that my processor (8/2T each) idles down to as low as 17mhz clock speed when not running heavy CPU software. My biggest concern is cooking the RAM with too much voltage. So I intentionally bought RAM that is at least 1 'step' faster than called for such as buying PC4-28800 16-19-19-39 vs the slower ram called for by the ASUS for my mobo.
