Also note: Using an Administrator account doesn't mean that all files/ commands launch with admin rights. If you want to run something elevated then you have to specifically give permission.

When I read the replies I must have missed yours that had the link,

File and Folder names (fonts) cut off along bottom edge: "g, j, p, y"

I simply used ctrl and my mouse wheel and although everything is spaced more than I'd like at least now I can read them all. It changed the view by from list to tiles. it isn't the perfect fix but it is much eaier on my eyes and I can see everything fine. Thank you very much for that link, if I had seen it I would ahve saved myself days of reseach and been able to thank you a lot sooner. THANKS !!!

I guess I spoke too soon, it made some file explorer windows readable but even after going to options and selecting View>apply to all folders it doesn't apply to all folders. Tiles is just not a good way to view folders in file explorer. When you have a a small number of subfolders it's doable. Once you get into a folder that have a lot, the tiles just is as bad as list that are being cut off just worse in a different way.

There has to be a way to repair this issue in windows 10. Is there a way to repair without losing or changing any files or data currently on my system?

    Some other ideas:

Make sure display settings are set to "recommended"

Change Screen Resolution of Display in Windows 10

Temporarily boot into Safe Mode and open an explorer window. Check if the problem still exists in Safe Mode.

Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10

    Clear the font cache:

Rebuild Font Cache in Windows 10

Check that system font is the default font.

    Option Two here:

Change Default System Font in Windows 10

    Update to my problem

    Big Thanks to Brink!!!

With a combo of ease of use and then changing the size of my fonts, the changing the dpi to 125% and finally changing my desktop icons to classic I am now able to see the fonts without the tails being cut off. ( I don't see the fonts as big as I would like but ) it is doable for now.

One other things I did was this, I like having folder shortcuts that I use a lot on my desktop, same with website links. I have a dual 24" monitor system. To help with all the space those were taking up I just created a Folder named "folder shortcuts" and "website shortcuts" and put all the folder and website shortcuts into a folder so instead of my desktop full of folders and website links I just have 2 folders now and if I need a folder or website shortcut I just open the folder and I have what I need. One more step but to help with my issue that isn't bad.

    Thanks to all once again

Thank you to everyone who replied to this thread and offered different ways to try to get this issue resloved.
