How can I export and import registry from another user?

At work, we have a general login for our customers called Test. When we fix computers, we have to login to test, then open up the command prompt as an admin, typing in the admin username and password, to access the command prompt.

Just for kicks, I tried accessing the registry on the computer. I was able to do it by opening it as administrator and typing in the username and password.

I have recently encountered a key in the registry, if, restored, may reset icon positions. I attempted to export this key, which is under HKCU and save it to Downloads, but again, I found that it wasn't saved to the Downloads folder of Test. I assumed it would be, because I was logged into the PC as test.

How would I backup this specific key of the user Test and then import it?

    Code:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop
Can it be done with a batch file? If so, how?

You should be able to Export the Registry Key and then Import [ Merge ] it.

I strongly suggest that you create a System Image FIRST if you are NOT familiar with the Registry, just in case.

    I hope this helps.
