Question on upgrading to an SSD with Macrium

I had tried before without success however I purchased a new laptop for the wife, and I am trying once again to upgrade a laptop that is almost constantly showing 100% hard drive (spinner) usage to a new SSD.

I downloaded and installed Macrium, and when it started it took the normal inventory of what the spinner looked like.
I'm no expert at this but it doesn't look at all like I thought it would. Here is a screen shot of what I see.

Any thoughts (maybe this is why the HD runs @100%)?

Windows 10 version 21H2 build 19033.1566 Kind of how my afternoon is going up loaded screen snip hope it's readable.

I presume that you get the red bar on the recovery partition because it's over 90% full.

I think that's not an issue, because it isn't normally in use. It's provided as a means of re-installing Windows, if needed. (It's a cheap alternative to providing DVD or USB media.)

I have no explanation as to why the HD is being accessed much of the time.

I'm wondering why so many partitions.
I've got a Crucial MX500 waiting to install.

Your hard drive is not full (if that is the one on your screenshot). You still have 400GB of free space.

Don't worry about the recovery partition. It is just an allocated partition for your recovery files. You don't normally use it until you have issues and you need to do a repair.

Have you run Disk Cleanup for every partition shown .
    Emptied the Recycle Bin.
Uninstalled unused programmes or transferred them to usb's along with videos and suchlike.
Clutter is easily avoided by the judicious use of inexpensive usb sticks.

Not worried about the recovery partition, but that still leaves 6 other Primary partitions.
Even my desktop has only 3 partitions. I can run disk cleanup on the c drive TI10664006, not sure how to do a cleanup for the other partitions.
