I think you can clear search box history completely by following these steps:

    1. Press Win key + E to open explorer window
    2. In the left pane on top right click on "Quick access" and then click "options" on the menu that appears.
    3. Under General tab -> privacy click on "Clear" button

Let us know it this worked.

    Hello,
Sorry to bring this issue again.
Well, on the first time, did as instructed, and the box was clean, and I responded accordingly.
After a day or two, needed to open the search box and it was again crowded. Cleaned it again, and it keeps filling up every day or two.
    Any stronger medicine ?
    Answers willl be appreciated.
    Thanks

I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas, maybe somebody else knows, consider creating a new thread or marking this thread as unsolved to bring more attention to your post.
