How to make file explorer show full path on address bar?

    Hi!

I want to see full path on explorer address bar in my homefolder, desktop and so on. How do I do that?

I have tried this: Always show full path in Explorer Address Bar in Windows 11/10

But when go to Desktop I still see just Desktop.

I want that instead of Desktop it would show C:\users\username\desktop. And I want it to be like that always with no exception to any location at all.

    Hi there -

The path will show in the blue area (Title Bar) at the top of Windows Explorer. So do this:

Folder Options -> View -> Display The Full Path Of The Title Bar (Make sure this is checked and Apply the change.)

Additionally, I just click in the Windows Explorer Search Box and the full path is there as well.

Titles under Libraries don't show the path
    For example
Libraries -Documents don't show the path
Libraries -Documents - My Documents show the path (C:\Users\Luiz\Documents)

That WindowsClub article is incorrectly titled. The procedure it describes is for displaying the full address in the title bar not the address bar.

If I need the full path then I just click in a blank area of the address bar then it appears [ready-selected] so I can copy it.

Yes but on some locations it does not show full path. As I understand with some special locations (such as desktop for example) it's not possible.

Navigate to User> Username> Desktop then it shows.

Or get "Files" which does show the full path.

I just pin to taskbar and use when needed,

File Explorer has it's own idiosyncrasies.

As an alternative, you can use Explorer++ or XYplorer.

    Please show me.

Go to the folder itself e.g. C:\Users\%UserName%\Desktop not the Desktop entry within File explorer, This PC because that File explorer entry not a real folder but a special type of shortcut to the folder itself & it can provide misleading location info.
