Double Click (Mouse and or Computer Issue)

Hi everyone, for the past 48 hours I been having some odd issues with my mouse and or computer.
Whenever I click once it would sometimes count my singular click as two consecutive clicks, the keyword here is "sometimes" as it feels like a 50/50 chance of it happening, this also affects when I want to open a file, web-surfing, windows won't move or be resized, files won't move (most of the time), can't scroll up and down (most of the time) and the list goes on, feel free to ask for any further information.

I have had this issue in the past on the same computer a few years ago but it only lasted for a few hours and I have no idea how or if I resolved it.
    (OS Build 19044, 1620)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Mesmerrow.

    Welcome to TenForums.

A couple questions, is this a wired mouse/keyboard?

Have you checked for latest drivers?

    Thanks for the warm welcome

Yes the mouse in question is wired it's a SteelSeries Rival 700
And I did try to update the drivers (After reading your message) but Windows found nothing as well as troubleshoot but again it found nothing, Both my mouse, keyboard and headset run through something called SteelSeries Engine (Which you can read more about here: SteelSeries GG | Connect with your people, gear and game | SteelSeries)

Okay, my friend, I see quickly, this is out of my 'league'. I'm sorry, the best I could do for you, would be to direct you to their support link.

    Security check

And hope that a more experienced member might assist you with your issue.

I will, however, point to your question/thread (specifically, to other members), and try to solicit a reply for you.

    Best regards, WXC.

    You're welcome.

Be patient, it may take a bit for others to see the request, (Considering the time difference).

In the search box, type in---dxdiag >run as administrator >select the Input page and expand the mouse option to check for any reports.
Then Device Manager >mouse and go through all the tabs.
Next Settings >devices >mouse and check through the options and troubleshoot.
Control panel > devices & printers > RIGHT click on the mouse icon and go through those options
Check with Reliability History to see if there are any reports covering the problem. If so,then ---view tech details ---lines 1- 3 will give searchable information.
Have you tried allowing Windows to control the mouse rather than the Steel system?
