I know what the configurations mean.
In that case, you know the answer to your question.

I keep getting the feeling that we are talking at cross-purposes. The responses to your question have all tried to explain that GPE does not show what's in the Registry but only what has been set in GPE but you keep responding that you know that yet then act as if you do not.

    All the best,
    Denis

The Group Policy editor should NOT show the registry settings. That is not it's purpose.

The original purpose of the Group policy was to control multiple computers in a domain. In this case the Group Policy editor could not possibly show the registry of the computers it controls. If the Group Policy was set to "Not configured" some computers might have the registry set to enabled and others to disabled. If an administrator wanted to see the registry of individual computers there is way to do that but Group Policy is not it.

With a computer that is not a member of a domain the Group Policy editor only controls the local computer. But the principles remain the same. Group Policy can force registry settings but it does not display them.

When you can see the big picture of Group Policy this makes a great deal of sense.
