    No, mouse works okay. Most of the Taskbar works okay.

    I've freed up 5.5GB of the MMC drive so I'm trying the reset again.

    Reset failed again. I guess I need to fix the Start button and associated problems then. I'm going to try compressing C: again to see if it completes and gives me more free space.

    You've probably already tried it, but... Ctrl + Esc ...opens the Start Menu.

    Yeah, I get the same error I get if I click on the Start button.

    No, can't install anything not from the Microsoft Store and right now I can't get to the store. Windows 10S is a terrible OS.

    Seems like the user profile may well be corrupted. I would try creating a new local user account, make it an administrator, then sign in to that and see if Start works there.

    If so, then you've 'fixed' the Start problem and can get on with the rest the work that it needs.

    Yes, that works and I can get there several other ways, but nothing happens when I click on Go to the store. See post #8
