Haven't done this before - appreciated your advice. Re-installed win10 on laptop and in the process of downloading the backup file/folders from OneDrive. I have selected a folder (Documents) in OneDrive and selected Download. At the moment it is downloading a zip file - this is ok but Documents is 9gb so taking a while. I'm assuming when it is finished I unzip and all the sub folders/files will be there. The Pictures folder is @77gb and I'm worried how long this is going to take. Before I rebuilt and checked everything was in sync with OneDrive I took local copies of everything (i.e. they are on my Desktop machine - not the laptop). So I could actually install all the files/folders from my local backup rather than via the internet. If I did this would OneDrive like it? Does OneDrive have some sort of sync database between the cloud and the laptop? Would it see all the file/folders I install as different from what it has in the cloud and upload them again - there would be double everything! (My download speed is @65mb)
