    @pepanee

    I've done everything you've mentioned here. Even clearing prefetch, clearing %temp% files, ran both of the troubleshooters. Cleared the icon cache. Cleared the page file.

    And Microsoft releases Windows 11 forcing you to have an 8th gen processor to update.

    I think I saw (2) just recently, where the %ge complete updated, but not to 100% even after I'd been notified by PC was ready to restart.

    Otherwise not.

    There's no guarantee Win 11 will fix all problems. Bear in mind they are continuing to introduce new ones (er, I mean improve its features) - some of which are then backported to Win 10, which could...yes, introduce new issues...

    Hello Konally. Thanks for the most recent post. Now I see what you meant. There are updates, yet there's no button for you to press to actually do the updates.

    Yes, it's a rather small annoyance of a bug that this window is showing, but no need to worry. Within the last few months, my father's PC experienced random small issues, but then they eventually fixed themselves over time. I'm assuming there's this small glitch in the Windows Update section that your PC is having a problem with. But no need to worry! Just don't let that stress you out. I'm guessing this will eventually fix itself later.

    But let's just make sure that Windows Update actually IS making updates.
    Click on: View update history (3rd selection of the 4, in that last photo you posted.)
    And look at when the most recent update was. If it was very recent, then everything is good. Hopefully this little button glitch fixes itself. =)

    Regarding the "Background apps" wheel scroll... umm. Not sure what else to do.
    1) Try a different USB port on your computer for the wireless USB receiver
    ...2) Try replacing the battery in the mouse

    Not even, sometimes? I've reset the settings app many times, ran sfc /scannow, system maintenance and chkdsk . No problems anywhere, just with the settings app. Every driver that can be updated is updated to its latest, too
    Not even once that I can remember.
