Windows 10 from an OLD Notebook - It's desktop folder missed ??
Hi boys & Girls........ i have a curious question to make today:
I have removed a SATA2 HDD from a notebook of my cousing because he buys a new and most recent notebook.
The old notebook it's have Windows 10 installed by me....... he want to restore some files from this HD and move to the newest notebook.
For do this i have buy this:
ORICO Case Esterno per Disco Rigido 2.5" Custodia per Disco Rigido da USB 3.0 a SATA 3.0 per SSD da 7-9,5 mm da 2.5" Fino a 4 TB con Cavo USB 3.0,Installazione Senza Attrezzi-Nero : Amazon.it: Informatica
We have mounted the old HD inside this BOX and we have attach to an USB drive.
The only partition on this drive apparently it's can readable whitout any issue........ the drive it's a 500GB Western Digital and from info we can see a partition of about 424GB (i know it's not 500GB possible) and i see it's present about only 43GB of files.
After that i have try to reach the user folder.. the drive as be mounted as F: and i have reach this folder:
F:\Users
Here there's present a folder "Diego" the username of my cousin....... i have open this and windows say ask to confirmation it's need the "Admin right" to access this folder. I have agree and after about 30 seconds the folder it's be opened.
I can see apparently all folder inside but there's some MISSING folder.
There no DESKTOP folder....... or there's no Pictures folder............ how it's possible ?
It's be hided in some mode ? Or it's reachable from another path ?
There's someone has some suggestion ?
