You couldn't imagine all the sarcastic jokes that comes to my mind at the moment... I'm up to 11 just writing this.
Interesting. If a CPU that supports "Pluton" will be required, it seems that all current desktop CPUs will be unsupported.
What Is Microsoft’s Pluton Security Processor?
If you thought that the crying and screaming over Win11 hardware requirements was bad, imagine what it'd be like for 12 (if true).
Is somebody toying with us?
I guess more people will be switching to Linux or something else.
You will be able to monitor new information later on in TwelveForums but, at the moment, all is speculation.

We have been here before with Win 8, which as we know was a big failure. It was just a stepping stone to Win 10.
If that is true, whyNOT
just carry on with Win 10 for a little longer, and then introduce the new OS, which may, or mayNOT
, be called Win 12!
I think that is a given.
But consider this:
Windows accounts for about a third of Microsoft's revenue ... but that is declining.
Cloud revenue also accounts for about a third of Microsoft's revenue ... but this is rising.
The cloud is becoming everything to them, and the main value of Windows would be its ability to drive traffic to Azure-based services.
It does little in that regard today. After purchasing a PC I get nothing from Microsoft.
I don't use Edge or Bing ... so MS cannot drive my traffic.
I don't use Metro apps ... so MS cannot drive my traffic.
I don't use the Microsoft store ... so MS cannot drive my traffic.
Meanwhile ... keep an eye on what other players do (Google and Apple).
Google ... because they are all about traffic.
Apple ... because they are always ready to do just what you don't expect.
And social media ... because the PC and phone hardware and software aren't the main revenue stream.
Rather, the target service of the connection is everything.
