W10 21H2 19044.1526. File Manager with "sticky choice bar"
I don't know how to technically accurately describe this.
Within my File Manager, I often see a faint bar on a previous item that I have already done something with. If not careful, that sticky bar and the next choice[s] are acted upon. If I click somewhere in the "below area" the sticky bar seems to go away. Question: Is there a VBS or REG that will, upon completion of whatever, remove the "sticky bar", ie., leave File Manager simply standing by with no choice made?

Sound a little as if the item is selected, but your description of how it appears doesn't match the norm.

@dalchina W10 Pro 21H2 19044.1526 -- I need your help to locate Action Center because I cannot find it, even though I looked for it. And, once found, I would like to add it either to the taskbar pins, or, to the Notifications Icons tray, which is the area on my bottom taskbar's right side. Very likely, the "choice shadow" mentioned earlier will solve itself.

Hi, what happens if you press win key + a ? This should display the panel.

If not, it's presumably disabled- have you done that by any means?

I guess you're not seeing the icon for it on your taskbar.

I think I got it, what icon is Action Center for W10 Pro 21H2 19044.1526? The board I think is Action Center looks nothing like Windows 7 Action Center.

Got it, you're right, it is the first pic. I am distracted by other unrelated things! Later, will make use of Action Center.
