Touch screen right-click not working properly

    Winver 21H2 19044.1466

I have a Windows 10 mini pc and I just purchased this touch screen monitor. It is plug and play. The problem? Right-click doesn't seem to work properly or at all. When I touch and hold it seems to click 2-3 times and then nothing happens. When I watch how right-click works on touch screens for Windows 10 on youtube videos, touching and hold 1 finger should create a box and letting go should popup the context menu. I cannot for the life of me get this to happen.

    Things I've tried.

    1. Calibrating the screen.
    2. I've gone under "Pen and Touch" and tried adjusting the settings for "press and hold" and I tried to test with the little light bulb picture but it works maybe 1 out of 50 times if I am lucky.
    3. The touch screen monitor is set as primary monitor and is the only monitor.
    4. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the touch driver. Which is Microsoft 10.0.19041.868 dated 6-12-2006. Which seems like a really really old driver. But that is what Microsoft installs and the manufacturer of the touch screen state it is plug and play and uses the Microsoft driver.

I ordered the same monitor a second time to see if maybe it was a hardware issue but both monitors do the same thing.

In the end I cannot get the right-click to work with touch. I can bring up the on screen keyboard and the context menu button works fine. I can remote into the computer and use my mouse and right click works just fine. But touch won't do it. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Plug and play really doesn't mean more than generic drivers.
Try going to the web site for updated drivers.

The maker claims [in the Amazon product page] to provide support so ask for help directly as well as here.

The date of MS drivers is never a cause for concern. It's an artificial date intended to ensure that OEM drivers always take precedence.

15% of the Amazon customer reviews were 1-2*.

    Best of luck,

I did reach out to the company but I assume it's support from China and since it's Chinese new year it may take some time to get a response.

I was seeking support here just to make sure I wasn't missing something like a setting in Windows to check. Or maybe someone on here has had the same problem and could share their fix. It does seem like an odd issue none the less.

The manual gives one email address
    monitor_csr@outlook.com
but the Amazon product page gives another in a response to a question about the warranty
    usparkle_us@163.com

If you end up having to return them for a refund, when searching for another you might find it useful to look only at ones with more than 100 reviews because a survey in the UK identified fake review services often arranging up to 100 fake ones.
I don't envy you your task.
    - - When I recently looked for an additional external touchscreen in the UK I found very few that seemed worthwhile judging by the user reviews. I gave up.
    - - For what it's worth, my Hannspree HT225HPB external touchscreen has lasted three years so far and has given me no problems on any of the four computers I've used it with. It's Amazon USA product page is at www.amazon.com/Hannspree-Hanns-G-HT225HPB-1080pixels-Multi-touch/dp/B01F3636V0 but I notice that's a third-party seller [an off-shore one at that] rather than Amazon itself.

    All the best,
    Denis

You guys were right. The monitor just didn't support it. I contacted their support and they said nope doesn't support right-click or any Windows native gestures for that matter. I didn't know touch screens even existed where it didn't support such basic functions. I ordered a different manufacturer touch screen and it works just as it should supporting right-click hold and Windows native gestures. Thanks for the help. Lesson learned.

This is the one that works correctly.

Here is another one that I have ordered but it has the vesa mount option which I really need. So I am hoping with such positive reviews it'll work as it should.
